Non-Newtonian fluid: Cool Science Experiment

The cornstarch mixture is called “non-Newtonian” since its viscosity also depends on the force applied to the liquid or how fast an object is moving through the liquid. To create this amazing liquid and solid experience all you need is, corn starch and water.

Mix them together and feel liquid turning into solid just by squeezing it in your palm and solid turning into liquid just by relaxing your palm.

Playing with cornstarch and water is a fun experience not only for children but also for adults. Children can spend long time exploring this mixture.

When they are done playing with it and if the mixture still looks clean then just let it sit in a dry place. You may be able to reuse it next day just by adding water to it.

Do not pour it down the drain as it will clog the drain. Instead let it dry and the throw it in the trash.
